Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded to your servers?

No. Face detection, cropping and background removal run inside your browser. The photo stays on your device unless you choose to keep an encrypted backup copy.

Will my photo be accepted?

We apply the official size, head position and background rules for each document and check your photo for common problems. If an authority still rejects it, we refund you in full.

How do I print the photo?

Choose the print package to get a 4×6 in (10×15 cm) sheet. Print it at any photo kiosk, pharmacy or online print service at 100% scale, then cut along the lines.

Can I use a photo taken with my phone?

Yes. Stand in front of a plain wall in daylight, ask someone to take the photo from about 1 metre at eye level, and keep a neutral expression.

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay once per photo or family pack. There are no recurring charges.
